London Broil Beef Ramen Recipe

Living in Central Florida, our cold winter weather never usually gets below 35 degrees, but that is too cold for me. So I enjoy making fires in the house.  Sitting in front of the fire, wrapped in a blanket with a warm cup of soup, I’m one happy mama. Needing some warm hearty soup in my belly, I made london broil beef ramen. Here is the recipe that was so delicious.

London Broil Beef Ramem Ingredients

  • 8, 2.5 oz bricks of ramen noodles
  • 1 lb of cooked, sliced, and chopped london broil or any thinly sliced meat such as a flank stake of skirt stake.
  • 2  small or 1 large sweet yellow onions
  • 3 tbs butter
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp of ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup of coconut aminos
  • 1 cup of chopped mushrooms (I used baby bellas)
  • 2 cups of chicken bone broth
  • 3 cups of water plus 1 cup of noodle cooking water
  • 2 or 3 chopped green onions for garnish

London Broil Beef Ramem Recipe

This recipe assumes that your meat has already been cooked. We cooked about 2lbs of london broil two days before. We used half of the london broil for another meal and half for the beef ramen.

Start by heating the butter over low to medium heat while chopping the sweet yellow onions. Add the chopped onions to the butter and allow to cook for about 20 minutes until they are soft and translucent.

While the onions are cooking, chop the mushrooms. Add the mushrooms to the onion pan once the onions are soft.

Season with salt, pepper, and ginger. Add the worcestershire sauce and coconut aminos.  Allow to simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes.

While the mushrooms and onions are simmering, slice the meat very thinly, then chop the meat. To get a thin cut on the meat, it really helps to have a proper meat slicing knife. Here is one similar to the one of use.

Add the meat to the mushroom and onion mixture, stir and sauté for a minute.

Then, add the bone broth (you can use broth if you prefer) and three cups of water to the meat, onions, and mushrooms. Simmer on a low/medium heat.

Cooking the Ramen Noodles

Add water to a large pot to boil your ramen. Once the water is boiling, add the dried ramen blocks. Ramen cooks very fast. Follow the cooking instructions on the ramen package. Be sure not to overcook the noodles.

We get our ramen from costco. They have a great, inexpensive organic ramen. Here is the ramen we buy. If you’re looking for another ramen recipe, check out my chicken teriyaki ramen post here.

After the ramen is cooked, add the noodles to the beef mixture. Do not fully drain all of the noodle cooking water. Turn off the heat on the beef mixture.  If you would like the ramen more soupy, add about another cup of water from the noodle cooking water.

Serve the beef ramen and top with chopped green onions. I like to serve our ramen with chop sticks. A while back, I ordered a large package of chopsticks that we’re still using. Here are the chopsticks I ordered.

Your london broil beef ramen is ready. I hope you enjoy this warm, savory dish on a cold winter night just as much as we did!

This is very original! Expecting single-digit temps up here, it sounds extra good to have soup. Stay warm during Florida’s cold snap❄️.
