Grilled Bacon Cheese Tomato Sandwich
Rachel
Sandwiches for lunch are easy since we usually have a loaf of sourdough laying around. This lunchtime sandwich was particularly yummy with bacon, melted raw cheddar, and tomato with a drizzle of basalmic glaze. A take on the classic BLT.
Cook Time 10 minutes mins
- 8 Slices of sourdough bread
- 16 Slices of cheese (4 slices per sandwich)
- 1 Large tomato
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- Balsamic glaze for drizzle
- 4 Slices Cooked bacon
I like to make grilled sandwiches in a cast iron. Start by heating up the pan and melting a tablespoon of butter in the pan.
Place your slices of bread in the pan. Load them with cheese, tomato, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, bacon, and top with another layer of cheese.
Use a lid over the pan while the sandwich is toasting and the cheese is melting. Flip the sandwich, add a bit more butter, and toast until golden brown and the cheese is nice and melted.
Your sandwich is ready! I hope you enjoy this simple and tasty lunch as much as my boys do!
