Sourdough Waffle Recipe

These sourdough waffles are so delicious with the perfect crispness.
- 2 Cups sourdough starter
- 1/4 Cup melted butter or melted coconut oil Plus extra for oiling waffle maker
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 2 Tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 Tsp cinnamon
Start by preheating waffle iron and oven to 250F. Prepare waffle iron by lightly oiling the waffle iron grates.
Mix together all ingredients until well combined.
Use 1/4 cup measuring cup to measure waffle mix and pour into each waffle square. This helps ensure the waffle mix doesn't spill over the edges of the waffle maker.
When the waffles are done cooking and golden brown, usually when the steam has stopped escaping from the waffle iron. Remove the waffles from the iron and place on a baking sheet. Keep the waffles on the baking sheet in the warm oven until ready to serve all of the waffles.
Serve with warm syrup or berry compote. Enjoy your sourdough waffles!
